B.Sc. (Hons) (Physio), Lic.Ac.MISCP MCSP
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and Acupuncture Licenciate of 25 years' experience.
I graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Physiotherapy in 1995. In 1998 I graduated from the British College of Acupuncture with a Licenciate Diploma in Acupuncture. I graduated in 1989 from National University of Ireland (NUI), University College Dublin with a degree in Chemistry and following this worked for two years as a Research Chemist before returning to study Physiotherapy and Acupuncture.
After qualifying as a physiotherapist in 1995, I initially worked in large hospitals in Ireland and Australia. I gained extensive experience in musculoskeletal, neck, back, spinal problems, chronic pain management, rehabilitation and health promotion.
I have integrated acupuncture into physiotherapy practice over the last 25 years. This is an area I have lectured on extensively to physiotherapists and GPs, including the Higher Diploma in Acupuncture postgraduate programme in UCD. In 2000 I established my private practice in Manor Street, Stoneybatter, and have worked there for the past 20 years.
I am currently relocating to a suitable clinic space locally and will update soon.
I have a wonderful wife (who wrote this), 3 kids and a cat. I enjoy music and play guitar.
